Barrier-free Design Library |
RESOURCES |
Our
library contains over 300 publications on barrier-free design. Whether
you are building a new home or renovating an existing one, you will
find useful ideas and illustrations on barrier-free design solutions.
Included
in our collection is a copy of the 1997 Alberta Building Code and
Barrier-Free Design Guide. New homes, renovations, or additions
should be designed to meet the current requirements of the building
code. The Barrier-Free Design Guide provides an illustrated guide
to these requirements.
Drop
by our office to view the library during office hours: Monday to
Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 12:00 noon.
If
you would like to meet with one of our occupational therapists or
architect to help you choose resources and discuss how we can help
you customize the design to meet your specific needs, call our office
at (403) 282-1872, or email our
Occupational Therapists or our
technical advisor to set up an appointment.
For
a $10.00 annual library membership fee, lending privileges are available.
Books may be signed out for a 2-week period.
